Discontinuation of the Infinitum pant for Keykegs (Important)

We are writing to inform all our partners,pubs, restaurants, and festival organizers about a significant change to the recycling and deposit system for Keykegs in Norway.

Infinitum has officially announced that the deposit scheme for plastic Keykegs is being discontinued. Despite years of effort to make the program economically and operationally sustainable, the scheme will be phased out over the coming months.

Note on Billing: Following this industry-wide change, we will, of course, no longer charge a deposit (pant) on any future Keykeg orders.

Important Deadlines for Your Business

To ensure you receive your eligible deposit refunds for existing stock, please take note of the following timeline:

• Final Collection Date: Infinitum will continue to collect bags containing empty Keykegs until June 30, 2026.
• Action Required: Please ensure that any empty Keykegs currently in your possession (which were purchased with a deposit) are bagged and ready for collection before this final deadline.
• Reporting: This month (April 2026) marks the final period for producers to report sales into the system.

How to Handle Keykegs After June 30

Once the Infinitum collection window closes on June 30, empty Keykegs will no longer be part of the deposit system. Moving forward:

1. Local Recycling: Keykegs should be disposed of through your standard local commercial waste management or plastic recycling channels.
2. Preparation: As always, ensure Keykegs are fully depressurized and flattened (where applicable) according to standard safety guidelines before disposal.

We sincerely regret the inconvenience this causes. This scheme provided an excellent environmental and economic framework for our industry, and we thank you for your commitment to following the recycling guidelines over the years.
